LeBron James and his Cleveland Cavaliers teammates refuse to stay at Trump Hotel during New York visit

The Cleveland Cavaliers play the New York Knicks in an NBA game this week and the players have refused to stay at the Trump Soho even though rooms had been booked in advance. The president-elect does not own the hotel but it bears his name as part of a licensing deal. The Cavs are the latest in a line of NBA teams to boycott Trump. Just days after Trump's win, three NBA teams decided that they would boycott Trump-branded hotels, according to ESPN. The Milwaukee Bucks, Memphis Grizzlies, and Dallas Mavericks decided to no longer stay at Trump hotels in New York and Chicago.

23-year-old Nigerian entrepreneur turned down job offer from Bill Gates' Microsoft

A 23-year-old Nigerian entrepreneur, Chris Kwekowe turned down a job offer to work as a software engineer at Microsoft, owned by the richest man in the world, Bill Gates, in order to begin his own start-up in Lagos. The Lagos State University computer science graduate proudly revealed this to Bill Gates during a television interview for Africa’s brightest young entrepreneurs in August 2016. Kwekowe, who won the 2015 Anzisha Prize which came with a $25,000 cheque, said he rejected the offer to build up his own startup, Slatecube– a website aimed at helping other young Nigerians find there dreams

AGF accuses Justice Adeniyi Ademola of receiving N8m car gift through his son

The office of the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) has accused embattled Justice Adeniyi Ademola of the Federal High Court, Abuja of accepting an N8million car as gratification from a lawyer, Joe Odey Agi. The Nation reports that Justice Ademola allegedly accepted “a BMW saloon 320i, valued at N8m” through his son, Ademide Ademola from Agi who had a case before his court. This allegation is among the new charges filed against Justice Ademola and his wife, Olabowale by the office of the AGF. Mrs Ademola is alleged to have accepted a N30m cash gift on behalf of her husband..

The Nigeria Custom Service has seized a 20ft container of ready-to-eat Nigerian food imported from India at Tin Can Island Port, Lagos. The Customs Area Controller, of Tin Can Island Port, Comptroller Bashar Yusuf, handed over a container found to contain 1,395 cartons of ready-to-eat food such as Yam Porridge, Beans Porridge, Egusi Soup etc, to Mr. Udo Ekpo, a Deputy Director of NAFDAC on Monday, November 28th. Addressing stakeholders at the premises of SDV/SCOA where he handed over the container.
