Amusement Park to hold memorial service after freezing 5000 fishes for 'fun'

A Japanese amusement park, 'Space World', that froze 5,000 dead fishes into ice as a side attraction for its visitors has been forced to shut down after receiving a barrage of criticism from locals, with one labelling the attraction 'sinful'. The rink which is located in south-western Japan was opened on November 12, 2016 and had to freeze the dead fishes as side attraction to help entertain their yet growing customer data base. The frozen fishes served as a decorative effect for customers who skated above the rink for fun, but the concept was slammed as unethical by many locals

Police arrest Ugandan king over deadly clash which killed at least 55 (Photos)

Police in western Uganda have arrested the king of Rwenzururu, Charles Wesley Mumbere, over clashes between police and militia which killed at least 55 people, in the region on Sunday. Security forces stormed his palace amid claimed that he, King Mumbere, was harbouring fighters in his palace. The King, who is being accused of inciting violence in the region, has been denied movement after records emerged that at least 14 police officers and 41 militants have died in the violent clash. Man rapes and kills eight-year-old girl who was waiting for a bus to take her to church

Ramey, has been arrested for the rape and murder of an eight-year-old girl, Sabrina Stauffenberg, who was snatched from her front porch as she waited for a ride to church. Police found Sabrina's body on Wednesday by tracing her cell phone signal. According to MailOnline; friends of the family told Fox News that Ramey, who has mental health problems, was dating a relative of the child. Sabrina’s stepmother also confirmed to DailyMail that the rapist is a friend of the child’s father.

According to Ghafla News, The clash began after the Ugandan police suspected the King of Obusinga bwa Rwenzururu Kingdom King Charles Wesley Mumbere of offering a sanctuary to separatist militia. The acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu, Monday, November 28, 2016, visited the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshall, Abubakar Sadique Baba, to drum the message of anti-corruption in the military. South Africa is on a move to legalize the cultivation of marijuana for medicinal purposes in April 2017. This comes after the Parliament’s health committee accepted to implement the Medical Innovation Bill. A bill which was proposed by late Dr. Mario Ambrosini of Inkatha Freedom Party in 2013. A 47-year-old Nigerian man has been arrested for scamming an elderly woman out of nearly $9,000 in Vermillion Parish, Louisiana, US, according to a news release from the Louisiana Attorney General's Office. Benue Governor, Samuel Ortom said that God is the real governor of the state. He stated this Sunday, November 27th, in Gboko at a ceremony held to mark the 40th anniversary of the Full Gospel Revival Crusade Incorporated Nigeria. Woman flogged 7 times for standing too close to man in Aceh, Indonesia

A total of five people, including two women and three men, were on Monday, caned outside a mosque in the conservative province of Aceh in Indonesia, which adheres to Sharia law. A 34-year-old woman (pictured) was flogged with a rattan cane at least seven times for being in close proximity to a man who is not her husband. The 32-year-old male who was with her was also flogged seven times. "It hurts so bad," the woman said, as cited by AFP, raising her arms into the air. Two university students, both 19, received 100 lashes, after confessing to having sex outside marriage.

The Lagos State House of Assembly today passed a bill which approves death sentence for kidnappers whose victims die while in their custody. The bill entitled; “A Bill for a Law to Provide for the Prohibition of the Act of Kidnapping and for Other Connected Purposes.” was sponsored by the Speaker of the House, Mudashiru Obasa. According to the bill, any person who kidnaps, abducts, detains, captures or takes another person by any means or tricks with intent to demand ransom or do anything against his/her will, commits an offence, and liable on conviction to death sentence.

Suspect identified in Ohio State attack as Abdul Razak Ali Artan

The identity of the person who attacked other students at the Ohio University campus Monday has been revealed. According to CBS, the attacker was Abdul Artan, an 18-year-old student at the university. He was a Somali refugee who left his homeland with his family in 2007, lived in Pakistan and then came to the United States in 2014 as a legal permanent resident of the United States, officials said.

The police in Ondo state have reportedly arrested the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology Akure, FUTA, Prof. Adebiyi Daramola, for hitting a member of the Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) of the school, Abiodun Ademola Atunbi, with his car at the main campus of the school at Oba’nla in Akure this morning. Members of staff were said to have gathered at a particular place to pray when the incident happened. Police Officers from the Okuta Elerinla Police Station arrested Prof. Daramola shortly after the accident occurred.
