5 Nigerian artistes who are overdue for a new album

The era where an artiste would release one or two singles and dominate the airwaves for

 the whole of a year or two is fast fading away. The Nigerian music industry has evolved

 and is now fast paced. Infact you need to have released an album to be called a 

true artiste. An average of 15 songs is released by the mainstream artistes every week.

Throw the upcoming acts into the mix and we could be looking at say 60 or

 more songs being churned out into the Nigerian music ecosystem each week.

Usain Bolt has been stripped of one of his nine Olympic gold medals after it was 

confirmed that his 4x100m relay team-mate Nesta Carter tested positive for a banned 

substance at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

An anomaly was discovered in Carter's submission following a decision by

 International Olympic Committee (IOC) to retest 454 doping samples from 

Beijing using the latest scientific analysis methods. It was found to 

contain banned stimulant, methylhexaneamine.

Gambia's new president Adama Barrow to return 

to the country tomorrow

Journalist Sainey MK Marenah confirmed this from the President in Dakar, Senegal today.

 Adama Barrow will be returning home tomorrow, Thursday, 26 January 2017 to take 

charge of the country, after spending two weeks away due to political crises.

According to Marenah, the president described his stay outside Gambia as 'productive 

and in the best interest of Gambians.'
