Photos/Video: Nigerian woman gives a Range Rover EVogue to her husband for believing in her

A Nigerian business woman, Nneka has gifted her husband a Range Rover EVogue for his support despite repeated failures while struggling to set up her hair business. She wrote;

"When you marry a man that completes you , nothing is too much for him
When I started hairbywanneka in 2013, as a new bride and pregnant wife , my husband wanted me to put to bed first before I do anything
But the hustler in me will not let me rest 😂 so I started by business by just displaying pictures on BBM, I didn't even know about instagram
After small money came out of the hair , I begged my hubby to plz get me a store in Festac and invest small money in it , I even promised to pay back , he immediately agreed and we got one , he put it in place and gave me some money to buy hairs , after my 1 year in that shop , I didn't leave with money or goods
Before we left Festac , knowing I have failed him the first time, I started begging him again to pls get me a store in Lekki 😂 without shame , I even said "ok borrow me the money 😂 as begging , he aggreed again and paid for my first shop in Lekki, put some goods in it for me , again everything went down the drain , after 1 year I left the store with nothing to show for it ,
Now for the 3rd time , I was begging for a new shop , this time , hubby didn't even buy the idea , trust woman and Wahala, I fought him 😂kept malice and almost said am not marrying u again 😳 to avoid Wahala , I was in sch one day and he called and said "madam we have gotten you the shop" 💃💃💃 I danced back home 🙌 I told him the reason y I failed in the first Lekki store is because people in Lekki like fine shops with good interior 😂😂 he then put this one up in a Lekki way for me , even with that nothing 😂6 months into the new store , I saw another disaster , i felt for the man who had been investing and not getting anything back , at that point , I knew I had to do something
Then I put in my all into my small business and now see how far we have come . While my business was on standstill , I will demand for all the latest phones 😂 I'll ask for a change of car 🙌 without shame 😂
This same man will buy it , I'll even ask for a driver again 😂Willy this Range Rover EVogue is for you my darling, today I can proudly say to you that ur money wasnt wasted.this is from my small business to u 💋 I love u baby#mostsupportivehubby#mollinswellspnt...

I Stand with Nigeria Protest. #OurMumuDonDo...by Charly Boy

Read his piece below...
OurMumuDonDo: in the Face of Hopelessness I saw Hope with the #IstandWithNigeria Project; in the Midst of Excruciating Hunger I saw Defiance in the faces of our youths; In a Nation of Virtual Social Media Mouthing Youths I saw Foot Soldiers who are capable of Moving this Nation forward if the dream of nationalism is nurtured in the minds of all. Bad Governance is a failure of the governed just as much as it is a failure of Political Leadership.
I am a realist and I understand the challenges this country is facing from decades of wasteful wickedness; indifferent Leadership; Mindless Looting and Audacious Criminality. And so, I understand the Challenges of the current President Muhammadu Buhari Administration; I know there are no Short term Solutions; I am aware that no Matter how smooth the processes of realigning Nigeria will be, we all will have to bite the Bullet as our wounds are being treated.

Change we know is hard in the Beginning; Messy in the Middle and Glorious in the end if there is a sincerity of purpose by the Leaders and the Led. The People; My Constituency; My fellow frustrated nigerians are the only people making sacrifices while the Political Leadership is still in the habit of Wastefulness, Looting, Stealing, Embezzlement and Ravaging of our Commonwealth.

Me and my pikins and good revolutionist in this country no go again gree lie lie and so we are ready to defile the odds and challenge all constituted authorities in Nigeria beginning now. The battle line have been drawn; The war is here and we are ready to ensure that all Nigerians enjoy governance. We are willing to give up our Lives for the Good of our Country and Peace in the heart of the Poor Nigerian, at least I know am ready. If you no talk, you go die, if you still talk like Fela you go die. So I go talk talk before I die.
The Federal Government under the Leadership of President Mohammadu Buhari must not be the only Arm or Level of Government that is interested in Fighting Corruption; Infrastructural Development; Fighting Insurgency and the Fulani Herdsmen Menace; Developing an Economic Nationalism Model and seeking options to improve Power. If PMB and the Vice President are the only guys interested in Change, then Change will not come at all. We demand and will fight. If we can't fight for ourselves and our future, we do die for nothing.

#OurMumuDonDo. demands are as follows.

1.       The Executive Arm of the Federal Government to become More Aggressive in Seeking alternative Masses Driven Economic and Development Policies for the people; Harmonization of all Salary Scale in Nigeria and the Introduction of a Transparency Library where all Expenditure of Government can be access online and offline.

2.       The National Assembly to #OpenNass urgently or they will have to Kill us the People this Time; The Running Cost must be made open to the Public soon and cut drastically or they will see the Demons in the Nigerian Angry Populace.

3.       The Judiciary must as a Matter of Urgency vacate all Corruption based Perpetual Injunctions in Nigerian Courts; Speedily Prosecute Corruption cases and Must Strictly follow the dictates of the Criminal Administrative Justice Act of 2015.

4.       The Agricultural Policies of the Federal , State and Local Governments must become Expansive; The Accountability Process of the government must become visibly available to all Nigerians and Infrastructural and Contractual Obligations of the Nigerian Government must be given topmost priority.

5.       The Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) must as a Matter of urgency begin the process of gutting all Allowances as they Relate to the Political office Holders in Nigeria.

6.       A People, Civil Society and Non-Governmental Organisation’s driven body that will provide Oversight on all Constituency Projects across Nigeria must be Constitituted and Funded by the Federal Government for Monitoring; Evaluation and Follow up of all funds allocated and spent by Government on all Constituencies across Nigeria.

7.       All State Governments; State Assembly and Local Governments must become answerable to the desires of the governed; The Proletariat and the Suffering Masses who are Voice but when engaged can be dangerous. We hope Politicians will not drive our people outside the zone of reasons. When you see jungle Justice for the commoner you get the Message.

An Injury to one is an Injury to all; we are ready for the worse and prepared to sacrifice our all for the good of this country. We will Never allow politicians to lie to us and get away with it ever again. This is the beginning of the reign of peaceful Revolution whose premise is centred on the Doctrine of The Eternal Reverend Martin King Jnr; The Legendary Mahatma Ghandi and the The Africa Legend Nelson Mandela. We Will Fight with the Tenacity of the vibrant Malcom X; The Defiant Spirit of Patrice Lumumba; The Africa Che; Thomas Sankara and the Heart of the Man who Emboldens the best of Revolutionary Struggles Worldwide; Ernesto Che Guevara. The Revolutionary Words of Fela Anikulapo Kuti Will Drive our resistance; The Selfless Services of the People’s SAN Gani Fawehinmi will ensure that we fight for Nigerians First and the Historical importance of the The Legend; My Father Justice Oputa will guide our process always.

The Justice Oputa Foundation is the Platform; Nigerians from all works of Life are invited to join us as we begin the process for Political, Social and Economic Rebirth for the good of all Nigerians. All Civil Society Organisations and all Non Governmental Organisations must become the voices of the people against the political Insanity at all Levels of government in Nigeria. The People must become the dictators in any Democracy where the interest of the people is relegated. If President Buhari cannot Fight Corruption alone and he can’t; we must support the fight and make it more wholesome for all Nigerians to engage. We owe it to our people to fight for Justice, Fairness and Equality for all Nigerians and that Fight is just beginning.

This is a Call to Action; a Call to Reason; A Call to Nigerianization; A Call to Nationalism and a Call to defiantly Confront the common Enemy of the people…The Mindlessly Corrupt Politician with the Capacity for Audacious impunity and Selfishly Insatiable Desire to Loot our Commonwealth. We will Engage, Protest and Occupy until we are heard and until we see result and action on the part of Government.

#OurMumuDonDo and our time don come to Initiate #CitizensFightback and #FloodTheSystem to #OccupyUnlimited until we can Change our Country for the good of all.
#ALUTAETERNAL is The our cry.

Frustrated Nigerians.

Dear Nigerian army, can you please find the soldiers that brutally assaulted this crippled man?

There's no way Nigeria trains its military men to not be compassionate. You find a crippled man in his wheelchair, you remove him from it, throw away his wheel chair and proceed to brutally assault him because he's wearing a camo? Why couldn't they just take the clothes off him? Where's our humanity?

Benefits of Traveling within Nigeria

Traveling within Nigeria may not seem like a real vacation or trip away because you feel as if you are over-familiar with the terrain, but once you start exploring other regions of the country, you will discover many things you never knew of. You will discover new cultures and customs, languages and attitudes when venturing to different parts of Nigeria.

Book local flights to Abuja, Calabar, Kano and Port Harcourt with Travelden for as low as N15,000.

We want you to be well travelled, not just around the world, but in your own country too. Below are some benefits of traveling within Nigeria.

It’s Cheaper

Traveling within Nigeria is cheaper compared to traveling to neighbouring countries like Ghana, Cameroon and Benin Republic. Travelden does cheap flights to major cities in Nigeria, so it’s worth checking out our site for cheap flight fares.

Traveling by air is not just cheap but quicker too. You don't want to get stuck in traffic for hours when you could get to your destination within just 2 hours. Take advantage of how cheap it is to visit a neighbouring state. It will be worth it.

Gain a New Perspective

Nigeria is home to over 100 different tribes, which means that customs and local traditions differ according to different ethnic groups. Traveling within Nigeria gives you the opportunity to learn and appreciate different people and also gives you a new perspective of your country.

It Can Feel Like a Real Holiday

Lagos is so different to Benin, Enugu and Delta that sometimes it can make you feel like a foreigner. The landscapes vary a whole lot too. Like in Benin, you may notice that the soil is slightly more reddish in colour than places like Lagos. You may also notice that this city also retains a lot of its historical features. Things like this help distinguish the terrain in Nigeria and make it feel foreign. The difference between your town abode and city you’re traveling to can make your short trip feel really refreshing getting away from what you’re used to.

Which places in Nigeria have you travelled to before and what did you like about it?

LIB Exclusive: Foul play suspected in the death of a Nigerian Man in Lebanon (graphic photos)

The death of a Nigerian man, Bobby Onwazu Onyemali, who travelled to Lebanon in January 2017, is raising questions by some people close to him who suspect foul play. Bobby who was born in Apapa, Lagos and and lived all his life in Queen's Barracks Apapa, reportedly travelled to Lebanon in the 1st week of January 2017 with his Lebanese friend called Kodo.

On arrival, they stayed in the capital, Beirut before they were sent to a village, Southern town of Tyre in Goza where he passed away, 48 hours after arrival. LIB reached out to a childhood friend of the man, who spoke out on why they are suspecting foul play. Read after the cut...

On who the late Bobby was and his relationship with the Lebanese man:
"Bobby travelled with a Lebanese man, Kodo, who happens to be his friend, to Lebanon for holiday and was due to return on February 16th. Kodo (not sure of his occupation) has been in Apapa, Lagos, Nigeria for years. However, in October 2016, Bobby moved to Abuja to be working with him but I don't know the kind job that they were doing. He came back for Christmas in Lagos but returned to Abuja thereafter.

"In the first week of January, Bobby and Kodo traveled to Lebanon. He kept in touch with his friends, informing them that he was coming back in February. Bobby also sent photos of himself shopping and made inquiries on what he should purchase for them."

"All of a sudden, Bobby called a friend in Apapa one day and said Kodo left him in an apartment with two other Lebanese guys, who are his boys. According to him, those guys offended Kodo and he didn't want to take two of them out and leave Bobby alone in that apartment since he was new. That Kodo was angry, so he told the three of them to move to the village. Bobby however didn't see Kodo but a message left saying they should move to that place.

When they got there, Bobby called back and said that he has been trying to reach Kodo for the past two days but the calls were not being picked."

On how they were informed about Bobby's death
:
"It was another Nigerian that was present there when the information leaked that alerted people. He went there to see the body, take photos and called to inform them about the situation. According to a medical personnel, the cause of death was carbon-monoxide from a charcoal heater."

"Some of Bobby's friends in Apapa called Kodo immediately and he said he was bereaved. He denied being responsible, saying that he came to help Bobby and even took him out of Apapa to Abuja. He found out about Bobby's death when he went to give them money for upkeep and the cause of death was truly Carbon Monixide." According to their side of the story, "Bobby was sleeping while the others where doing barbecue in the same room. The barbecue smoke and charcoal monoxide killed him and he died in his sleep."

Some of Bobby's friends are however suspicious and feel the other guys in the room with Bobby might know more about the incident. "When we were looking at the pictures, it looks suspicious. The way he died. Is it possible to die in your sleep and foam will still come for your nose? Also if you look closely at the picture where his hand is showing, it looks like he struggled or was hit with something."

Bobby Onwazu Onyemali's family have accepted the death of their son and requested for the body to be flown back in Nigeria for Burial in Delta state. The body arrived yesterday.

On the other hand, Kodo who has sent money for the burial, is still in Lebanon and would not be arriving back in Nigeria yet. He has however promised to take up the fatherly responsibilities of Bobby's daughter to university level and more.

Kim and Kanye get an early start to Valentine's day with date night

Power couple, Kim and Kanye, seem to be gradually easing into the Valentine mood. The pair were seen out last night at an Italian eatery after stopping off at the celebrity hot spot Epione. Afterward, they stopped by at Baskin-Robbins where Kanye can be seen munching on an ice cream cone.

The love birds were plagued with rumors of a troubled marriage earlier in the year, following Kanye's breakdown, but they seem to have resolved their differences and are back to being the romantic couple we all love to keep up with.

CCT trial: FG increases charges against Senate President, Bukola Saraki

The Federal government has amended and increased the charges leveled against senate president, Bukola Saraki, before the Code of Conduct Tribunal CCT.

At the resumed hearing of the case today, counsel to Saraki, Kanu Agabi, notified the tribunal that his client has just received fresh charges added to the existing ones and that his client will want to enter plea for the fresh charges.

Saraki is being tried at the tribunal on allegations of false declaration of assets during his tenure as Kwara state governor.

In the meantime, the third prosecuting counsel in the case, Samuel Madujemu who is the Chief Administration Officer at CCB, today told the tribunal that Saraki upon assuming office as Kwara state governor, made his first assets declaration on September 16th 2003. According to Madujemu, a joint investigative team involving the CCB, Federal Ministry of Justice and the EFCC, discovered that Saraki falsely declared his assets that year. ”

After we discovered that there were some discrepancies, we commenced further investigations into the matter. One of the discrepancies we discovered had to do with false declaration and none declaration of some assets and some liabilities”.

The witness told the tribunal that Saraki under-declared some assets he acquired in 2006. For instance, he told the tribunal that Saraki declared two properties he bought in Lagos and left out two others. While reading from one of the assets declaration forms marked as exhibit-3, Madujemu said

“My lord what I see here is No17a and 17b Mc Donald Street Ikoyi which the defendant acquired with a bank loan in 2006. No 15a and 15b Mc Donald Ikoyi which he also acquired in 2006 was not included in the assets he declared”.

Photo: Woman abandoned by her husband in Edo after she gave birth to triplets

A 35-year-old mother of five from Ogwa in Esan West Local Government Area of Edo State was abandoned by her husband shortly after she gave birth to triplets last April.

Mrs. Queen Udekwe, whose first two children are twins, is appealing to well-spirited Nigerians and corporate organisations to come to her aid to enable her care for the children.
Speaking to journalists at the Edo state Secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Queen said she does not want her children to die of starvation.

She said when a scan of her pregnancy revealed that she was carrying a set of triplet, her husband Mathew Udekwe, who hailed from Omonukpa community, Enugu state, told her that he would not be around when the babies would be delivered, due to lack of fund, a statement she taught he was joke.
The distraught mother who said her husband absconded shortly before she gave birth, disclosed that her relations and kind-hearted individuals saw her through at the hospital and in taking care of the triplets and the set of twins.
"I already had a set of twins. To me, it’s a thing of joy until my husband absconded shortly before giving birth to triplets. I used to hawk rice in a wheel barrow while my husband is tricycle driver. I am finding it difficult to feed the triplets and the twins. I used to take them round markets to beg for money so that we can eat. I don’t want them to die of starvation. I am appealing to Nigerians and corporate organisations for urgent assistance to save me and my babies from dying of starvation"

Unbothered Ivanka Trump visits White House with youngest child as more retailers drop her fashion line

Four more retailers have followed Nordstrom's lead to drop Ivanka Trump's fashion brand from their store. Belk, Jet, SHopStyle and Home Shopping Networks, all stores that used to stock the first daughter's fashion brand, have announced that they will no longer carry her brands.

This boycott is believed to be a result of the #GrabYourWallet campaign geared towards boycotting businesses that the Trump family profit from.
However, the first daughter seemed unfazed by this new development as she was seen at the White House, holding onto her 10-month-old son, Theodore, as she took a phone call while her husband, Jared Kushner, was at a listening session with her father, President Trump. She shared the photo on her Instagram page and wrote;
"Taking a call in the White House with my personal assistant Theodore."
As at yesterday a search for 'Ivanka Trump' on the online stores of Belk, Jet, ShopStyle and Home Shopping Network no longer showed any of Ivanka's items for sale. Meanwhile, just like Nordstrom, these stores have denied that the move was politically motivated and claim it has to do with a massive drop in sales.
Jill Kermes, HSN's head of corporate affairs spoke about the company's decision to Buzzfeed, saying,
"At HSN we are non-partisan and our product decisions are based solely on a continual evaluation related to our business"
A representative from Belk also disclosed that their decision to remove Ivanka Trump's merchandise was based on the performance of the brands they carry.
