Update: Hours after, Harrysong released from police custody

Earlier today, LIB exclusively reported the arrest of Harrysong by his estranged label, Five Star Music. He was held at the the Onikan command zone of the state police command. Now we can confirm that he has been released. Details of his condition of release is yet to be made public. Harrysong and his team are currently preparing a statement to address the issue.

This Secondary school tour, an offshoot of my 'I'd Rather Be Selfmade Project', so far, has been one of the single most amazing thing that's happened to me in a while. Just imagine 15, 16 year old girls who know who you are, running to hug you and tell you you inspire them. I can't describe the feeling. I've said it before and I'll say it again, success is not about acquiring wealth, and living the life, true success is the lives you that touch and change.

So I began my tour yesterday and went to two secondary schools. Yinkyem Schools in Mafoluku and Bosworth College also in Mafoluku to share my message with young girls in SS 2 and 3, as I believe this is the age when they need to be guided as they navigate through their various paths in life.

It's been an amazing experience so far, the reception from the girls has been mind blowing and I can't wait to visit more schools to share my message. The message is basically telling girls to believe more in themselves, work hard and never be discouraged no matter how hard it gets. My hope is that in the next 5,10,15 years, there will be many more female entrepreneurs and selfmade billionaire business women...:-). 20 APC Senators set to join PDP - Godswill Akpabio claims

The Minority Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Senate and former Akwa Ibom State Governor, Godswill Akpabio, has said that about 20 senators from the All Progressives Congress (APC) are planning to defect to the PDP once peace returns to the party.


Akpabio, who stated this on Thursday, at the opening of the National Executive Committee (NEC) and expanded caucus of the PDP, held at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, said that despite some defections that hit the party recently, PDP senators in the National Assembly are still intact and very supportive of the party.

He said just as the party has lost senators through defections, there are also some others who have joined the PDP through elections and the court pronouncements.

Akpabio told the gathering that the chances of the party bouncing back to power is very bright today than ever, adding that “no election that will be conducted in the former PDP 28 states that the party will not win.
"As I speak, so many senators from the opposing party are eager to join PDP. All they want is a return of peace to the party, once that is done, I can assure that 20 senators are on their way to joining the PDP. My message to those who are thinking of defection is to retrace their steps because PDP is bouncing back to victory in 2019."
The Minority Leader, however, warned that if the party fails to put its house in order, it may lose in Ekiti State, adding that there is an urgent need to tackle the crisis in the party so as to avoid further loses.
The meeting was well attended and has the National Chairman, Ahmed Makarfi, CON, Chairman, Governors Forum, Chief Ayo Fayose, Chairman, BOT, Sen. Walid Jubril, Governors of PDP, members of the National Caretaker Committee, House Minority Leader, Hon. Leo Ogor and other Party stalwarts.

A woman whose name was given as Sonu Gupta, 26, was captured by a CCTV camera throwing her 3-year-old son down the stairs after having an argument with her in-laws in her home in southeast Delhi’s Pul Prahladpur area, India, on January 24.

It was reported that her in-laws found out that the woman and her husband started having problems in their marriage five years after getting married and were addressing this issue. This led to an argument which escalated and the woman, in anger, flung clothes from the bed to the floor then picked her child and stormed out. Moments later she's seen opening a gate and throwing him down the stairs.

Another woman comes moments later, pushes the mother out of the way and runs to rescue the child.

Thankfully, the boy survived and the woman has been reported to the police by her family.

While reacting to his recent attempted arrested by DSS officials in Ekiti, Senior Pastor of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, said his recent call for self defense by Christians is not against Muslims or law abiding Fulani men, but against Fulani herdsmen that are attacking people in most parts of the country. In this video shared on Facebook, Suleman said

Troops foil Boko Haram's attempt to capture military base in Yobe

Troops in Kamuya, Yobe state last night foiled an attempted by a large number of Boko Haram members to dislodge them and capture their military base. According to reports, the sect members who were over a hundred and armed with all manner of sophisticated weapons, stormed the military base at night. They engaged the Army in a fierce gun battle that lasted over an hour.

The troops killed many of the sect members while others fled the scene with gun shot injuries. Three soldiers were reportedly killed while some others are said to be missing. The Nigerian Army is yet to release a statement regarding this new attack.

Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Theresa May, has warned that the UK could be forced to limit the intelligence it shares with the US on suspected terror plots if President Trump brings back torture. This was made clear only hours after Trump declared that water boarding and other harsh interrogation techniques may be reintroduced.


Theresa May said that she absolutely condemns the use of torture. The UK's rules state that officials will not share intelligence with countries if it involves a serious risk of a detainee being tortured, or that is how the information was obtained. The split threatens to create major tensions in the relationship between British spies and their US counterparts.

Speaking to reporters on a flight to the US to meet the President, she said Britain would be sticking to its stance on torture and was prepared to deliver this message direct to the Trump administration.

'The UK Government's position on torture has not changed. We condemn torture and my view on that will not change whether I am talking to you or talking to the President. Our guidance is very clear about the position that the UK takes and our position has not changed. We have a very clear view in the U.K. That we absolutely condemn the use of torture and that has not changed and will not change.'

A 22-year-old Zimbabwe man allegedly committed suicide by hanging after the parents of his pregnant 14-year-old girlfriend reported him to the police for sleeping with their minor daughter.
Phathisa Dlamini was found dead at home at Maphisa growth point on Tuesday morning, Jan. 24th.



Matabeleland South acting provincial police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Nkosilathi Sibanda, who confirmed the incident said investigations were underway.

"We received a report of sudden death. A man was found hanging in his house on Tuesday morning. A colleague discovered the body. He was last seen the previous night with his housemate at their house. Investigations are underway,"  said Asst Insp Sibanda.

He urged members of the public to desist from committing suicide but share their problems and seek advice from friends, relatives, police and churches.

"We are calling on people to desist from taking their own lives even when they’re having problems. It’s important to engage other people who can assist," Asst Insp Sibanda said.

Dlamini allegedly had a relationship with a 14-year-old Form Two student. When her parents discovered the pregnancy, the girl’s mother confronted him and threatened to report him to the police.
"The following day, Dlamini was picked up by police for questioning. We suspect that he was probably frustrated and stressed and resorted to suicide," said the source.

The General Overseer of The True Covenant Church of God (TCCG), Prophet Olufemi Otusanya has released his revelations for 2017. In an interview with Prestige Magazine, he reveals spiritual insights into the fate of Nigeria and the world at large in the New Year.



State of the economy 
On the economy it will be better than that of last year. In 2017, the Lord promise divine provision to those who believe in him. Prices of commodities will come down. In 2017 exchange rate will reduce little compare to what was obtainable in 2016, but the reduction will be little. But Nigeria will be better economically than what was obtainable last year.

Women and Young Ladies Warnings to women and young ladies, because Lord said a lot of them will be used for ritual. They should pray very well and be vigilant not to be a victim of ritualists. This is a big warning to those ladies that always look out for free ride popularly called lift.

Boko- Haram 
There will be crises in some place but we are praying against that. Boko-Haram will want to re-strategize, we will see the signs but God will defeat them. In 2017, God will reveal Boko-Haram sponsors.

Federal Executive  In 2017 there will be minor cabinet reshuflement, some ministers will be replaced.

Protection against Death We should pray very well in 2017 because it is a mixed year in the sense that some people will be blessed while there will also be death tolls, we should pray for protection of Nigerian citizens. We should pray against death among the ministers and past governors in 2017. We should pray against assassination of one Journalist in 2017. All Journalists should pray. We should pray against death of notable female politician. Also notable political leader will pass away.

Plot to remove President Muhammadu Buhari  There is a plan or plot to remove the president from the seat but God said he will intervene to destroy the plot. God said he is the one that installed the current president. We will be seeing those signs. There will be a lot of collision and division within the political set up

Agriculture 
In agricultural sector it will be better, that will lead to availability of some commodities.

Plane Crash 
We should also pray against plane crash in 2017, if we pray very well God will avert it.

Notable Pastors 
There will be revelations about some notable pastors in Nigeria. We should pray very well so that God will not call home one of the great men of God in Nigeria. If we pray God can extend his tenure.

Warfare 
There will be a kind of warfare in the northern part of Nigeria. We should pray against it. Country will rise against country in 2017 more than before. God said he will walk through this country and perform wonders against those disturbing Nigeria’s peace.

Outbreak of Incurable Disease 
There will be outbreak of an incurable disease in 2017, if we pray very well the Lord will take care of it. Between June and August different things will happen that will affect the health of people. If we pray God will avert it.

First Rain 
The first rain in this year will be spiritual rain that rain will heal and make whole.
