Facebook user, Ben Dzwa who is currently at the scene, advised motorists accessing the George Akume Way, along Makurdi International Market Road from the New Otokp road to be cautious as a fuel tanker lost balance a few minutes ago and fell while negotiating the bend.
Some youths with are rushing to the scene with cans to scoop fuel dripping from the tanker. Only one traffic warden can be seen there and there is probably little he can do to disperse the youths.

Plane goes up in flames on tarmac at JFK airport

A very surprising incident occurred last night at the JFK airport tarmac. An Argentina Airlines flight bound for Buenos Aires caught fire as it prepared to take off. The pilot reported the fire incident, but when rescue trucks arrived, they found no evidence of fire.

Pictures taken of the plane shows the jet with flames spewing from the fuselage. The fire was caught on camera by a passenger on board a different plane on the runway and she tweeted about it.
"Yeah so I’m on the runway about to take off and another plane just landed next to us and it was on f**king fire like literal fire." She wrote.
Her tweet and the words of the pilot seem to be the only evidence that there was indeed a fire, otherwise, the plane shows no sign and seems to be in perfect condition. The plane did not take off anymore and had to taxi back for further investigation.

Talk show host, Julie Chen from "The Talk" confirmed rumours that the Clooneys are expecting twins. She confirmed that actor, George Clooney, 55, and his pregnant wife, international human rights lawyer Amal Clooney, 39, are expecting twins, a boy and a girl, even though the couple still haven't publicly made any comment about Amal being pregnant.
Chen said:
"Beyoncé is not the only superstar expecting twins," she said on the show, "Congratulations are in order for George and Amal Clooney!"
According to Entertainment Tonight Canada, actor Matt Damon who is George Clooney's BFF, confirmed the pregnancy news. He said Clooney told him about Amal's pregnancy himself. He said:
“I was working with him last fall and he pulled me aside on set and I mean, I almost started crying. I was so happy for him”. “And I was like, ‘How far along is she?’ And he goes, ‘Eight weeks."
He said he exclaimed and told Clooney:
“‘Are you out of your mind?! Don’t tell anybody else! Don’t tell anybody else! Don’t you know the 12-week rule?’ Like of course he doesn’t.” He continued, “‘Just shut up, man.’ And then four weeks later, I’m like, ‘We’re good right?’” Clooney answered, “We’re good.”
It's amazing that George Clooney, who swore that he'd never get married or ever have a child is now married and expecting two children.

Congratulations to the couple!

6 months after, Quincy parts ways with Emmanuel Emenike's record label‎

Now it seems the deal has fallen apart. In an exclusive chat with LIB, Quincy said:
"I signed the deal in September 2016. The deal was actually meant to be a two year contract but after some consultation with some people they met, they got me a five-year contract. Initially, I refused to sign but after sometime, they convinced me that it was just like a family deal. That it is just for me to get to the next level. You know how people talk when they want to exploit you. After giving me some assurance,  I had to sign the contract'.
LIB: So after signing the contract, what happened?

Quincy responded saying, 'I released a song ‘Landlord’ featuring Kcee of Fivestar Music. But I actually did the song a year before I met them (E29).  I played several songs to Kcee and he said ‘Landlord’ was dope, so we worked on it. Jay Swaarg originally produced the song before Kcee’s producer now reproduced it.
I am grateful E29 did the video for the song but after that they didn’t do any promo for it. Everything about the promo of the song was literally done by myself and my big brother. If you actually noticed, the song wasn’t played on any TV station'.

He continued to say, 'before signing the deal, they were very corny and they were deceitful. They said they were going to give me a house in an estate. They talked about a car, an official car. I didn’t receive any car, no house and not even a dime. The last time they gave me money was around December 2016 when I met Emmanuel Emenike.

They said it was a multimillion naira deal. Whenever I am on the street, people stop me to tell me they heard I signed a (27) twenty seven million naira deal with a Venza car given to me. Bullshit, they gave me nothing. They only thing they blessed me with, which I thank God for, was the video for the song'.

LIB: So when did you terminate the contract?

Quincy responded:  'I can’t be too exact but it was sometime late last year. They travelled out of the country and made it look like I am always calling to beg for promo. Most times when I call, they won’t pick up and when they eventually pick, they will tell me that they will do it at their own time.

They are actually into football and automobile business, they don’t know anything about music, but they will be trying to dictate what they know nothing about. They weren’t actually ready for me; they were only focusing on doing their own business. I’m on my own, running my personal label MDM (‎Mo' Dan Muzik)

Mum of slain British backpacker writes scathing letter to Trump

Rosie Ayliffe, the mother of slain British backpacker, Mia Ayliffe-Chung, who was stabbed to death in Queensland in August along with fellow backpacker Tom Jackson, has taken to Twitter to post a scathing letter to U.S President Donald Trump after the White House this week listed her death among 78 terrorist related deaths under-reported by the mainstream media.
The Australian Police after her killing, immediately ruled out Islamic terrorism or radicalization as cause of Mia's death, so Rosie, mum to Mia, was annoyed to find out Trump still listed the death as a terrorist attack saying 'Any fool can shout Allahu Akbar as they commit a crime'.
"The possibility of Mia and Tom's deaths being consequent to an Islamic terror attack was discounted in the early stages of the police investigation... Any fool can shout Allahu Akbar as they commit a crime," Rosie Ayliffe wrote in her statement.
"Treating immigrants as disposable commodities and disregarding their safety causes deaths throughout our so-called civilized world."
"I have lived and worked in the Islamic world for a number of years ... Mia traveled in Turkey and Morocco too, albeit too briefly".
"We encountered nothing but respect and hospitality from people who are committed to courtesy and honoring their fellow human beings. This vilification ... is a terrifying reminder of the horror that can ensue when we allow ourselves to be led by ignorant people into darkness and hatred.

Homeless man's life transformed by a good samaritan in Lagos

This is a story shared by a Facebook user, Ifeanyi Odiaka who completely transformed a homeless man's life in Lagos. Below is Ifeanyi's post on his facebook.
"Guys, meet my new friend, Ola. I saw him sleeping on a bridge earlier this week on my way to work. The next day,  as I drove past, I stopped and parked beside him to have an interaction with him. He told me his name and said he has been living that way for quite some time as things have been hard. I told him I would be in touch and hurried for work. The following day, I stopped by again to have a chat and also gave him something for lunch.
This morning, I woke up very tired due to a very stressful week. But one thing remained on my mind.... Ola!. And so, I got dressed and dashed out to see him again. This time around, I knew it was not just going to be about giving money for lunch. I was determined to allow God use me to turn his life around and place him on a path to a destiny designed by God.
I got to where he was, and with a smile he greeted me. I told him, "Ola, come into my car let me go clean you up". With a mixture of fear and excitement, he hopped in.
And so the journey to Ola's destiny began. He had a good bath, got him new clothes, he ate and took him to the hospital for a complete and comprehensive  medical checkup. One of the most moving moment was after he had his bath and looked all fresh and clean like wizkid 😊,  I asked him what he was going to do with his old and dirty clothes, he responded "ha!, I will throw them away sir". Jesus, I almost wept.
I am sharing this story not to get facebook likes or brag, but to as I have always done in the past, inspire someone and challenge us.... To challenge the Christians and non-Christians....to challenge the young and the old, to challenge the rich and the poor... To challenge politicians.... To challenge the pastors and church goers to get out of their comfort zones and reach out. People are suffering out there. A little time and effort from us can make a whole lot of difference. A lot of us turn our eyes the other way when we see those struggling. You don't loose anything helping people around, instead you gain something quite unexplainable and heavenly. Once again, I challenge us.
So, certainly Ola is not going back to that bridge he called home. A new and wonderful beginning has begun for him.
God bless as you reach out."
An accommodation was gotten for Ola by Ifeanyi and he is doing very well now.

This is a truly inspirational story, hopefully we all get inspired too.

Photos: Two PDP lawmakers decamp to APC in Jigawa State

Two PDP members from Gwiwa and Fagam Constituencies in Jigawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim Suleiman Gwiwa and Shuaibu Inuwa, on Thursday, decamped to the All Progressive Congress, APC. Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar witnessed formal decamping of the two PDP members on the invitation of the Speaker of the House. PDP had five members in the thirty member State Legislative House, however, this development has reduced the number to three.

Those still in the PDP are members from Buji, Kiyawa and Miga Constituencies in the State Assembly.
Speaking to journalists, the lawmakers denied allegations that they were given money to leave PDP.
"Nobody gave us koko to join APC, I left because my former party lacked one leadership. Even the PDP's national headquarters had been under lock and key for the past one year," Shuaibu Inuwa said.
"I also moved to APC because of prudent management of the state's resources by the present administration under Governor Badaru." he added.
Mr Gwiwa on his part said:
"Looking at my age and experience, you will believe that there is nothing monetary in my defection to APC"
