How PSENSE gave my career a massive push

This is a sponsored post...
I got my degree in 2012 from a reputable University in the UK. When I came back to Nigeria, I was so confident of landing a job that I didn’t bother to take Employability and Etiquette trainings. I believed all I needed was just to finish my Youth Service and bang; Oil company offer letter! Haha.
Well, I was confident, but looking back at it, I think I was gullible. Years passed by and I wasn’t able to land a job. I did get invited for interviews; loads of them to be honest but it never went past that. I mesmerized interviewers with my accent, or at least I thought I did but never got a call back. Then Poise Graduate Finishing Academy (PGFA)came to the rescue. In 2016, a friend suggested that I take part in a program that PGFA organized for free, I gave it a shot, and boy, am I glad that I did. In all honesty, I was skeptical at first because I looked at my finances, looked at transport fare from Ikorodu down to Lekki every day of the week, and I sighed. But I took the step and today I am reaping the benefits.

I learnt how to be employable, how not to fall into the trap of “ko mean” syndrome that most people have been victims of. A lot of exquisite and important trainings. And even a bit of entrepreneurial skills, if I ever wanted to go into a business of my own. I could go on and on but why not go see for yourself. I assure you that it will be one of the best decisions you have made ever.
Now I have a job, and not only that, I am ever confident going into interviews, public speaking events and networking. PGFA helped polish me, unlocked my potentials, and turned me into a Poised Young Executive; one who stands out among my peers.

Being a graduate with a degree in any discipline doesn’t guarantee you a job…well unless you know people in “top top” places and that isn’t even a guarantee ‘cos I am an example Haha. We all know not everyone has this “amazing” advantage though. But there is a greater advantage which sets you apart from others and gives you the confidence to not only be able to bag any quality job, but also not be needing any external help. That is the opportunity PGFA offers undergraduates and fresh graduates with her PSENSE program. You get to learn a lot… I mean if I could get all the trainings I got for free, imagine what you will get when you actually pay!

Ify Ezinwa writes

Popular On air Personel and Content Writter Ezinwa Sandra Ify Has Decided to stand up to her feet to support the Protest which is being pulled by legendary 2baba, in a peice of article shared on her social media platform she express her take on this protest.

In the words of Fela Anikulapo kuti,Music is the weapon. But when Music fails to get to the target audience for some reasons which primarily could be because of the genre of music or the conveyed messages getting beclouded by the melodious tone of a musical piece,it is absolutely not out of place for a "mere musician" as some people put it to carry out much more serious demonstrations like the Tuface protest to be carried out on the 6th of February 2017 at the National stadium surulere Lagos.

Apparently, there has been criticisms, really Unconstructive ones against the movement; so many but I found one really by a Nigerian professor;he said "you're a bloody illiterate,You had sex with all manners of girls without using condoms. You impregnated them and made babies all over the place;now you want to lead protest against the government because of lack of governance.Have you governed your own personal life?Charity they say begins at home,Nonsense" We seem to Forget,Fela Kuti, the Nigerian multi-instrumentalist,musician,pioneer of the Afro beat music genre, human right activist and political maverick, the Man with 27 wives;who came from prison and divorced the 12 that were still with him with countless numbers of children;A man seen today as a hero and celebrated till date with a shrine built in his memory which serves as the host location of the annual felabration festival. Now,I do not intend to compare the life of Fela to that of Tuface but I know that people with common sense can tell that if the moderacy of a person's sexual life is truly a yardstick for measuring how much sense a person makes as our Professor claims, one who can listen & support to Fela Kuti's movement would support even more to Tuface Idibia's! We live in a country whose media is immensely influenced by politics.

Today, news reflects the ideological biases of the journalists and those who are not in support of the present government are vilified just like Governor Fayose;which makes only the brave hearted to stand and speak out while the sycophants who obviously have one or two to gain and the chicken-hearted smile and suffer hoping for the change that will never come!Everyone has their own role to play;it's either you play the brave hearted or the chicken hearted and ofcourse the sycophants too,it is yours to decide but what's unfair and foolish to do is to condemn and even try to go as far as boycotting the plans of brave hearted as Bovi the comedian tweeted. To people who perceive this movement as a publicity stunt,To the people who think Tuface is a tool used by the PDP and to the people who are amazed at his "supposed" sudden interest in politics,I refer you to a single he released in 2014 "vote and not fight"(election no be war) with this, you can tell that he's always indeed got the interest of the masses at heart as well as righting the wrongs through music!Oh yes,I bet you never heard the song cos we all know the kind of Musics that makes a Hit in the Industry of today! It is 2017,the situation has gone past Music as a weapon. It is time we stood our ground firmly for indeed, nothing is getting better and just like Tuface Idibia said "We have been poor and desperate "This truly isn't the change we voted for However, there is indeed no cause for alarm as it is a peaceful demonstration. Stand up Nigeria! 🇳🇬 Stand up for the real change! Stand up!

You should build “You” before you ever think about building a marriage- Actor Majid Michel says

The Ghanaian actor shared these wise words about marriage and relationships on his IG page. Read below
You should build “YOU” before you ever think about building a marriage. "i will die without you.” “i cannot live without you.” “if you go away, my world will crumble.” who said these are romantic statements? Those statements are not romantic!
They reflect an addictive dependency. instead of being addicted to a substance, you are addicted to a person. "i need a man.” “i need a woman.” No!! you need God!! and you need His holiness. God is saying, "please get your act together as an unmarried person. Get your standards and values settled". if you cannot control your emotions, your passions, your feelings, your attitudes, your bad habits or your behavior as you are single now, then you are not prepared for marriage. if you need to get married to be fulfilled or loved, you are not ready for marriage. The very thing that makes you need to get married will become the problem in your marriage. Men, before you go chasing a woman, make sure she is someone you can chase until death do you part. Discover yourself first. Know yourself and find yourself through Christ before you start looking for a partner. All your secrets and depression and frustration and baggage and all your issues. if you look at yourself, you yourself will not want to take yourself home. Yet you want someone to take you home. i'm scared of anyone who is impatient for marriage. Cos u are just a parasite looking for a host. Be an asset to your partner not a deficit.
